Merging and splitting suggestions

Introduction

As a moderator you can merge or split suggestions to help with clarity:

Merge a suggestion that is similar to one that has already been posted so you aren’t dealing with duplicates (although most customers will usually notice if their suggestion has already been posted)
Split a suggestion that is actually a few suggestions in one so other customers know what they are voting up and commenting on

You might want to merge a suggestion if it is basically the same as an existing one.

Choose the suggestion you want to merge and then select ‘merge’.

You can then find the suggestion you want to merge it with by title or id.

You have the option of converting the merged suggestion’s description into a comment.

You can’t undo changes once they are made!

You can split a suggestion if it actually includes two requests.

Choose the suggestion you want to split and then select ‘split’.

You can then edit the selected suggestion and add a new one.

You have the choice of copying upvotes from the current suggestion.

You can’t undo changes once they are made!
